Summary
Expectations - Dokta Matt
- Provide the best paediatric care possible.
- Communicate clearly with DBM patients and families.
- Be available for DBM patients day and night, within the constraints of triage.
- Coordinate family leave with DBM families.
- Maintain US and Vanuatu medical licenses.
- Complete Continuing Medical Education.
- Follow codes of professional and legal conduct.
- Keep clear, protected medical records and provide copies upon request.
Expectations - Partners Families
- Understand our DBM priorities: First, Dokta Matt's responsibility to his family, then to DBM patients and then to teaching the interns at VCH and contributing to the medical community. If we are courteous to one another, all can have their needs met.
- Communicate needs clearly and with as much advance notice as possible.
- In addition to subscription fee, reimburse hard costs incurred (such as medications and supplies) beyond 10% of membership fee.
Expectations - Members and Friends Families
- Understand our DBM priorities: First, Dokta Matt's responsibility to his family, then to DBM patients and then to teaching the interns at VCH and contributing to the medical community. If we are courteous to one another, all can have their needs met.
- Communicate needs clearly and with as much advance notice as possible.
- In addition to subscription fees, be prepared to pay for consultation and variable fees at time of service. If we are required to dedicate significant time managing finances, it will detract from our systemic improvement goals.
- Receipts will be provided for you to seek reimbursement from as available.
